Auditor: fund balance increased; draft budget up 16.28% over 2024 but can be bought down

Johnson said the current draft budget represents a 16.28% increase over 2024 and that he would implement the small changes discussed during the session. No formal vote was taken; the comment was recorded as an auditor’s report and staff action to update the draft.
The session adjourned at 11:34 a.m. after commissioners completed departmental reviews and staff follow-ups were assigned for finalizing the budget draft.
