Sheridan County’s Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously on Feb. 23 to approve warrants totaling $580,817.70, a package that included large scheduled payments and routine vendor charges. The warrants list included a WYDOT grant payment of $189,303.19, library funding of $117,750.00, fair board funding of $50,000.00, airport funding of $26,596.17 and a $38,500.00 payment to B3 K9 Training.
Commissioner Nick Siddle raised concerns about the high monthly cost for publishing services paid by multiple entities and urged the Wyoming County & City Clerks Association to explore alternative vendors and seek legislative actions to reduce those expenses. Chairwoman Christi Haswell also questioned the categorization of an unclaimed item for the Clerk of District Court Association; staff clarified that a lost check had been reissued. The motion to approve the warrants was made by Commissioner Lonnie Wright and passed unanimously.
