Market & Johnson informed the committee that the new VFDs (variable-frequency drives) ordered for the existing boiler room are deeper and larger than the originals, preventing pallets from fitting next to the door. The committee approved Change Order Request COR#21 to move the two VFDs; the additional cost is $2,594 and will be paid from owner’s contingency within Market & Johnson’s contract.
The motion (moved by S. Bjork, seconded by N. Gulbranson) carried unanimously. The minutes show this is a small contingency draw to accommodate equipment-size differences discovered during installation planning.
