Board authorizes county administrator to sign interim agreement with English Construction for courthouse schematics

County Attorney N. Garrison Elder updated the Board on the courthouse PPEA and said schematic drawings from architecture firm Mosley were required to satisfy judges and their attorneys. Elder recommended entering an Interim Agreement with English Construction to develop those schematic drawings, to be incorporated into the eventual Comprehensive Agreement. Elder also recommended that the cost of Moseley’s schematic work be deducted from the full agreement.
Supervisor Richard H. Ingram moved to give County Administrator Steve V. Bowen authority to sign the Interim Agreement with English Construction; Supervisor Daphne V. Norton seconded and the Board approved the motion by voice vote. The action authorizes staff to proceed with schematic development but does not finalize the Comprehensive Agreement.
