Gallipolis Commission adopts appointments, property sale and emergency budget amendments

The commission also adopted Ordinance O2026‑08 authorizing the sale of the property known as 75 Cedar Street and Ordinance O2026‑09 accepting and rejecting bids for media replacement of two gravity filter cells at the water plant; both ordinances passed on second reading. In addition, emergency Ordinance O2026‑10 (amending 2026 appropriations) and O2026‑11 (authorizing transfers) were adopted as emergencies to enable grant and purchase activity and hiring tied to ongoing projects.
No dissenting votes were recorded on the roll‑call items; the meeting record shows unanimous adoption where roll call was used. Commissioners did not debate these items extensively during the May 5 session.
