Board Waives Administrative Lien on 1718 Palmer Lane to Allow Sale

The Rockledge Code Enforcement Board voted to waive the administrative fine and lien on the property at 1718 Palmer Lane to allow the bank to sell the foreclosed property without encumbrance. Code Enforcement Officer Maddie McDonald reported the property had been foreclosed and brought into compliance; staff recommended waiving the lien so the property could be sold.
Attorney Jessica Burgess, representing US Bank NA as co-trustee for Mortgage Equity Conversion Asset Trust 2011-1, said she provided a speaker card and was sworn in. Attorney Garrett Olsen clarified that because there was no surplus from the sale, the city would not collect recovery funds. Jeffrey Fee moved to waive the lien in its entirety; Bruce Streger seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
