Commission approves Midwest Geological inspection to review Riverview basin work

County Attorney Matt Franzese presented a quote from Midwest Geological Consultants for licensed geotechnical and hydrologic inspection services related to Riverview’s filling of a water basin. Commissioner Jerrel Olson moved to approve the proposal with the condition that Riverview pay Midwest Geological Consultants’ costs; Commissioner Chad Metz seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously.
The board also approved a reimbursement agreement for Riverview to pay for the inspection services, subject to any changes Franzese deems appropriate. The approval places the cost burden on Riverview rather than county taxpayers, and Franzese will finalize any contract language or modifications required.
