Project update: footing permit only currently; crane delivered, FAA and Lifelink notified; votes recorded

John Nuzum reported the project is currently operating only on a footing and foundation permit while the State works with Wold on permissions for next steps; he said he will issue a new project schedule once additional approvals are finalized. Nuzum also reported that "a crane was delivered today for use on-site next week" and that the project team contacted the Federal Aviation Administration to notify nearby airports and helipads. Nuzum noted that Lifelink was notified about the crane because a non-lit helipad sometimes used by the Highway Department is in the vicinity.

Staff reported there has been no new response from Northern Natural Gas regarding an easement encroachment agreement but that it likely can be addressed later in the project timeline when asphalt work occurs. The team added geogrid, 12–18 inches of breaker rock and 6–8 inches of gravel to the site; a camera pole location was being selected to avoid sun glare and a drone conducted aerial photography earlier in the day. The committee received these updates and recorded no action at the meeting.
