The Board approved two land‑use items after public hearings and Planning Commission recommendations.
Mr. Zody presented a special‑exception application for a guest house on 100 acres at 1375 Lewis Cole Road (Tax Map 30‑27); the Planning Commission recommended approval 9‑0‑1 (one recusal) and no members of the public spoke for or against the item. Supervisor Richard H. Ingram moved to open and then to approve the Special Exception, and the Board approved it unanimously.
Mr. Zody also presented the Town of Blackstone’s request to rezone approximately 73 acres (Tax Map 43‑130) from General Business to Airport District for an aviation industrial park; the Planning Commission voted 10‑0 to recommend approval, and the Board approved the conditional rezone during the meeting with no public opposition.
Both items were approved by voice vote and roll call as recorded in the meeting minutes; staff noted adjacent property owner support for the Blackstone rezone in the Planning packet.
