"He worked in the coal mines and was working in Hiawatha when World War II broke out... he went and he did survive," staff recounted while describing donor-provided documentation.

Staff noted the museum should acquire an additional mannequin so uniforms can be rotated (one uniform would be out for display while others are rested), and collections staff will follow up on purchase timing and display planning.
