Board signals preference to keep 120-hour CPE requirement; no rule change voted

During the Board Rules and Committee (BARC) report, members took a temperature check on continuing professional education (CPE) requirements and indicated a preference to keep the 120-hour requirement for the triennial reporting period. Brooke Stegmeier led the discussion and reported that Board members who commented favored retaining the current 120-hour level.
Chair Tom Sawatzki also contextualized Board purpose and licensure pathways in the meeting but did not propose immediate changes to CPE rules. BARC will continue to review targeted requirements and report back at the April Board meeting; no formal rulemaking action was taken at this session.
