Council members discussed several ongoing and planned capital projects during the June 17 meeting. Russ Finlinson reported that equipment has been moved indoors for the CIB project and the retaining wall remains to be built; Mayor Lovell and Russ noted that CIB approved a generator for the town hall contingent on the project remaining within budget. The council also discussed remaining exterior and bathroom work, with some elements not covered by the existing CIB grant and estimates being solicited for windows, painting and landscaping.
Projects included in the FY2027 budget and discussed in the meeting also include tank-site land purchase, tank-site line and valve upgrades, and a proposed GIS mobile water system. Council members agreed staff should coordinate grants and ensure projects remain within grant conditions and permit requirements before proceeding.
