Duchesne City Mayor Deborah (Deb) Herron said the city applied for State funding for America250 and was awarded $2,700, money the city plans to use for fireworks on July 4. Herron outlined a full day of events including a Lions Club breakfast, parade, patriotic program, a water park, a concert, a dog show, food vendors, a dunk tank, free activities and a flyover by prop planes.
Myton City Mayor Linda Harrington described Myton Daze (June 25–27), listing a parade, fireworks, vendors, a 'strut your mutt' dog show, smokehouse demonstrations with firefighters, hose-target activities, bounce houses, a drive-in–style kids' movie and two rodeos (one in June and another at the end of July). Melissa Hughes summarized Tabiona’s family-fun night, tournaments (cornhole, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball), a rodeo on Friday and Saturday, fireworks, and a dance after the rodeo. Altamont’s Longhorn Days were noted for the weekend of July 24, and Roosevelt plans a flag-raising on July 4 and a community potluck on July 5 that Commissioner Greg Miles encouraged everyone to attend.
