Airport Director Steven Gleason reported that the airport completed its FAA Part 139 certification inspection without deficiencies. Gleason told the board the outcome—"zero findings"—had occurred only twice during his more than 30 years in airport management and he commended operations staff, including Mark Marcum, JP and Alyssa, for their preparation and professionalism.
The inspection covered airfield conditions, lighting systems, training records, aircraft rescue and firefighting response requirements and other regulatory compliance items. Board members acknowledged the accomplishment and staff said they will maintain rigorous training and recordkeeping to preserve compliance during upcoming construction activities and increased seasonal operations.
