Park Board Chair Mark Feldhaus told council the final festival numbers are not yet available but that the event was a "huge success" and enjoyed unusually good weather. He said the Park Board will meet to review results and reminded residents that raffle tickets are still available until the Sept. 13 drawing; prizes include $1,500, a party wagon and an Ohio lottery ticket bag.
Mayor John Donnellon thanked the Park Board and service department staff for their efforts, singling out "Jake and Ritchie" for after-hours work and stating it "was the best weather we have ever had." Feldhaus also noted Music in the Park on Aug. 30 (Everyday People) and Sept. 13 (Gee Your Band Smells Terrific) and a car show on Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The council expressed appreciation for volunteers and extra security provided at the festival.
