Deer Park council approves Hamilton County 911 plan in unanimous vote

The Deer Park City Council voted unanimously on Aug. 18 to approve Resolution 2025-09, adopting the Final Hamilton County 911 plan under Ohio Revised Code Chapter 128. Chair Chris Westmark moved the measure and a roll-call vote recorded seven yes votes; the resolution was approved.
Councilmember Tom Camp, who said he served on the planning committee, emphasized that the plan “had local input,” which the council cited as part of its rationale for approval. The measure was introduced by the Legislative and Finance Committee during the regular meeting and was adopted by roll call without amendment.
The approval authorizes Deer Park’s participation in the countywide 911 plan; the resolution language references Ohio Revised Code Chapter 128 as the statutory basis. The clerk recorded the roll as Mayor John Donnellon and six council members voting in favor. The council did not record any dissenting statements during the vote. The plan and the resolution text were included in the meeting packet.
