Sound Transit to run faster headways, activate stations and host community events on match days

Sound Transit CEO Dao Konspatine said the agency will run increased service on its rail lines for match days, noting operational details: "Operationally on game days, we will increase service on the 1 and 2 lines. So we'll be running, 8 minute service on all the lines, all evening long, and that means 4 minute service all day long from the International District to Linwood." He also said special Sounder trains will be added and Express buses staged to provide extra capacity.
Konspatine added that certain stations will be "activated" before and during games with live music, food vendors and activities and that the agency is coordinating regional activations and community commemorations tied to Juneteenth across counties.
