Commission circulates general-plan survey, offers to cover registration for April planning conference

Staff asked commissioners to complete a circulated general-plan survey (shared with municipalities and posted to social media) to help inform an upcoming general-plan draft and noted that county-wide representation on the commission will be important during the planning process.
The staff member also invited commissioners to the statewide APA planning commissioners' conference April 8–10 at Ruby's Inn and said the county would pay registration for any commissioner who wishes to attend; an April 7 training day was expected to precede the conference. "The county would pay registration for anybody that wants to go," the staff member said. Staff emphasized that the training would be timely given required code updates and recent legislative renumbering.
Commissioners were encouraged to complete the short survey and to let staff know if they want registration covered. Staff said they will circulate training dates and registration details.
