Soil & Water reports two septic permits, $40,000 septic upgrade grant approved

Soil & Water Conservation District Manager Sara Gronfeld updated the commission on local conservation activities and grant awards.
Gronfeld said the Sewage Treatment System program received two new permit applications in September and that the district’s application for 2025 Septic Upgrade Grant Funds was approved in the amount of $40,000. She also told the board that the Upper Minnesota River Plan contract had minor attorney revisions and will return to the commission for approval at a later date.
The board received the report; no immediate vote was required on the grant approval or contract revisions during the meeting.
