The David City Planning Commission voted to grant a wellhead permit for an irrigation well submitted by Bryan C. Hein for Section 7, Township 15 North, Range 3 NW ¼ (101.18 acres), Parcel #120034749, subject to NRD test wells and allowing the NRD to make the final decision on approval.
"I move to grant the wellhead permit application submitted by Bryan C. Hein for an irrigation well at Section 7, Township 15 North, Range 3 NW ¼ 101.18 AC (Parcel #120034749), subject to NRD test wells, and allowing the NRD to make the final decision on the irrigation well," Commissioner Robert Hilger said when making the motion; Chairman Jim Masek seconded. The motion carried: Yea 4, Nay 0, Absent 1.
Commissioners recorded no votes against the permit. The record notes that NRD test wells and NRD rules will govern any restrictions on irrigation pumping and that the NRD will make the final determination regarding the well's approval and permitted pumping levels. The commission did not record additional conditions beyond NRD review.
The applicant, identified in the permit application as Bryan C. Hein, was listed as present at the meeting. The commission's action delegates technical groundwater testing and final permitting authority to the applicable Natural Resources District according to the motion's terms.
