Commission hears 'middle-ground' options on MOA, council to review Nov. 25

Staff told the commission the town council asked for additional 'middle ground' options between the two alternatives previously presented and asked staff to prepare more targeted proposals for council review.
"They wanted sort of more, I guess, middle ground options," Joshua Engelbrad said, describing council direction. Engelbrad said staff would research paths that might balance development capacity and owner preferences and present those options to the council at its Nov. 25 meeting. Commissioners discussed targeting higher density in some parcels while preserving lower-density character in others, and staff warned dissolution of the MOA would require mutual agreement from property owners and therefore may not be a viable unilateral option.
