Citizens, committee members raise access concerns for county sports fields

Chair S2 pressed for follow-up, asking, “Why did we build the ball fields if they're not allowed to be used?” Committee members said they had received messages from residents who said they drove by fields and found them unused yet were told not to play there. The committee agreed to forward the complaints to county staff for clarification and to request a written report on current field-usage rules and who is authorized to restrict access.
Next step: The committee asked staff to provide a report and documentation showing any temporary closures or use restrictions, and to clarify the chain of authority for scheduling and restricting field use.
