Residents urge commission to preserve MOA and protect Ebey's Landing reserve

Another speaker read a short statement pointing to the town's inclusion in the Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve and urged the commission to protect the area's historical legacy. Cecilia Mortrum described daily-life concerns — less rain, an aquifer recharge question, traffic and noise — and said she did not want the town's quiet character to change.
Residents asked the commission to recommend that the Town Council leave the MOA unchanged; their comments were a central factor in the commission's later divided vote.
