Gordon re-elected commission chair; Hardin chosen as vice-chair

At its Dec. 2 organizational meeting, the Cleveland County Board of Commissioners unanimously elected Kevin Gordon as chair and Deb Hardin as vice-chair, and approved the meeting agenda and consent items.
Kevin Gordon was re-elected chairman of the Cleveland County Board of Commissioners at the board’s organizational meeting Dec. 2, 2025. Commissioner Deb Hardin moved to nominate Gordon, and Commissioner Johnny Hutchins seconded; the nomination carried by unanimous vote of the five commissioners present.
Deb Hardin was elected vice-chair after a nomination from Commissioner Hutchins and a second from Commissioner Doug Bridges; that motion also passed unanimously. County Manager David Cotton opened the floor for nominations and the board moved quickly through the procedural items, adopting the agenda in a subsequent unanimous motion by Commissioner Hutchins and seconded by Commissioner Hardin.
