At the start of the workshop Eve Parish briefed the commission on a special valuation application filed by an applicant for repairs to Pen Cove Pottery, which she described as one of the historic structures in the local review area that was previously damaged.
"I recently got a special valuation application from mister Elgma, for the repair of the Pen Cove Pottery," Parish said, and asked for two HPC members to join a site visit and initial review. A committee member volunteered: "I'll join him," and Parish said she would follow up by e‑mail and reach out to the applicant to schedule the site visit.
Commissioners noted the pottery is within an area of concentrated historic structures and that design review will be significant. Staff said they will assist with coordinating the subcommittee visit and begin the design‑review process after the site assessment.
