The council approved buying a skid-mounted 490-gallon diesel holding tank with transfer pump, a 13-foot hose and shutoff nozzle, sized to contain a full-load spill; the quoted price was $3,699 plus delivery (Action 26-057). Finance Officer Nicole Siemonsma explained the funds-transfer needs to cover the purchase and also requested funding for additional picnic tables in the campground; Council approved the 1st reading of Budget Supplement No. 2026-004 (Action 26-058).
Council also approved Resolution No. 2026-004, a contingency transfer to cover DGR Engineering contract preparation fees related to the city's 2026 slurry-seal street project (Action 26-059). The slurry-seal contract with Astech Corp. was later approved under Action 26-061; council discussed road-closure assistance, pre-project crack sealing and community communication responsibilities.
