Resident Lounsbery told the council they had noticed "chickens running loose and Roosters in town" and asked why rocks from the recent chip-seal project were not being swept from city streets. Council member Vogel said he would contact another resident who keeps chickens to determine whether roosters are present within city limits. Finance Officer Nicole Siemonsma said she would email council members a list of Montrose residents who have chickens registered with the city and asked Lounsbery to file a formal complaint with the city office for documentation. Mayor Susan Painter said she would contact maintenance Hanisch about broken equipment related to the chip-seal cleanup.
