City seeking contractors to replace aging pump/watershed building; planning and pricing underway

The work will involve underground preparation, three‑phase electrical work, framing, concrete and transferring pump equipment from the old structure to the new. No bids or contracts were approved at the Jan. 13 meeting; planning and pricing are in progress and FO said bids will be sought in coming weeks. Council emphasized prioritizing a reliable structure to prevent service interruptions, and requested that staff return with specific bid documents when available.
Council did not set a project budget at the meeting; maintenance staff flagged structural deterioration and operational risk as reasons to accelerate planning.
