Council discusses campground sales, holiday lights and volunteer help; firewood sale tabled

Finance Officer Nicole Siemonsma presented an option to sell certified, heat-treated firewood supplied by Friest Firewood and asked council members for input on storage and pricing in Campspot software. Councilors asked to table the proposal to allow time to consider workflows; the finance officer will work with Campspot and return with details.
Separately, Busy Bees representatives JoAnn Thompson and Michelle Edwards asked whether volunteers could help hang Main Street holiday lights. Maintenance Technician Josh Hanisch said he normally hangs the lights after Thanksgiving and will continue to do so; FO will consult the city insurance provider and the city attorney about liability before authorizing volunteer use of private equipment.
