Scott Park presented a draft set of procedures for an audit required under the Government Data Privacy Act, saying the audit will review departmental training completion, inventories of data collection points, and compliance with ordinance sections cited in the procedures.
"Basically I took the report, we're looking at different departments to make sure the departments completed their training appropriately, that the employees completed their training appropriately, that we've got the inventory of our data collection points," Park said. He asked the audit committee and public members for feedback and noted he will meet with the clerk's office staff to continue work.
Committee members said Davis County has done substantial preparatory work and urged clarity about timeline and scope. Park said he expects to continue work and will bring results to the next audit committee meeting.
