Weber also raised fairness concerns, asking why “one part of the community receive restoration while other receive silence.” The mayor noted sidewalk hazards—roots lifting pavement—and said the city tries to balance safety and canopy preservation. The council did not take formal action but directed staff to follow up with Weber and review how code-enforcement communications are handled.
