The Union City Borough Council voted unanimously to advertise a proposed amendment to the Tenant Registration ordinance that would allow violators to be charged more than once in a year when they do not provide required information. Councilor Steadman moved to advertise the change and Councilor Osborn seconded the motion, which passed on a unanimous vote.
Borough Manager Cindy Wells presented the proposed amendment language and the council agreed to advertise the ordinance change for public review. Advertising the amendment begins a formal notice process and allows residents and landlords an opportunity to comment before the council considers final adoption.
