"Our tax base is limited," Vemsak said, urging a coordinated approach: "I feel like we should be uniting and working with, I mean, we had our liaison here last time, the council should be involved in this...we should pass a resolution, we would start this, and we would start to solicit the feedback and input from our reps down in Trenton to support us in this effort to claw back dollars to this township." Board members asked staff to provide background on the Highlands formulas and suggested gathering more information before formal action.
