Board OKs furniture, bleachers and roofing contracts for multiple sites

Resolution No. 02-26 authorizes furniture purchases for the Poplar Annex Building through a piggyback agreement under Public Contract Code Section 20118; Resolution No. 14-26 authorizes purchase of gym bleachers for Porterville High School and Monache High School through a piggyback agreement under the same code section to fund safety and accessibility upgrades; and Resolution No. 15-26 authorizes purchases of roofing materials under Public Contract Code Section 10298 for roof replacements at multiple school sites. Each resolution was reviewed by Assistant Superintendent Brad Rohrbach and approved with aye votes from the five trustees present.
The board recorded roll-call aye votes (Donna Berry – Aye; Pete Lara – Aye; Felipe Martinez – Aye; Pedro Martinez – Aye; Tom Velasquez – Aye) for the resolutions. Dr. Rohrbach framed the items as standard procurement actions that use piggyback authority or state procurement provisions to expedite purchasing for facility maintenance and upgrades.
