Student representatives and principals report school successes; John J. Doyle named best elementary

Principals and student board representatives updated the board on school activities. Principal Mr. Ortega said John J. Doyle was named best elementary school in central California for the second straight year; student reps from Granite Hills and Monache shared ASB, FFA and upcoming events.
Principal Mr. Ortega reported that John J. Doyle Elementary School was named best elementary school in a central California poll for the second consecutive year, and he highlighted gains in instruction, culture and family engagement. He recognized staff members Haley Torres and Melanie Lopez for their contributions to the school community.
Student board representatives also presented updates: Natalie Hernandez (Granite Hills High School) summarized ASB leadership, freshman orientation, a 9/11 tribute, journalism and athletics achievements, and homecoming events; Shelley Andrade (Monache High School) reported on ASB, band, Link Crew, FFA activities (including the Tulare County Fair and Fall Harvest Fest), and previewed College Week, Homecoming and a Monache blood drive.
