Board approves purchase of 35 electric school buses via piggyback agreements

The Porterville Unified School District board voted to buy electric school buses under two piggyback procurement agreements. Resolution No. 10-26 approved purchase contracts for eighteen Blue Bird electric buses through a Clovis Unified School District piggyback agreement. Resolution No. 11-26 authorized contracts for seventeen RIDE electric buses through the Antelope Valley Schools Transportation Agency piggyback agreement.
Both resolutions were adopted following staff review by Assistant Superintendent Brad Rohrbach. Trustees voted unanimously on the purchases. The board also discussed procurement procedures and a separate resolution (No. 12-26) addressing lease-leaseback contractor selection for future pool projects under Education Code Section 17406.
