Town Manager Rob Gaiotti presented the proposed FY26 budget and told the Selectboard the overall increase in expenses is 4.9%, driven largely by wages and infrastructure projects. Selectboard Chair Megan Thorn opened and closed the public hearing on the budget during the meeting; following discussion the board voted to place the FY26 budget on the Town Meeting warning.
The minutes note the completed reappraisal should lower the Town tax rate even after the spending increase. The board approved the budget for Town Meeting by motion (Frank Parent moved; Jim Salsgiver seconded) and recorded the vote as passed 4-0.
