Representative Wright presented HB2550, the "Hunting for Heroes Act," saying a member in good standing of the Tennessee National Guard with a valid U.S. military ID and documentation from the adjutant general would qualify for a no‑cost sportsman's license equivalent to a residential annual sportsman's license. "And with that, I stand for questions and ask for your support," Representative Wright said.
There were no substantive questions from committee members. The clerk reported a 9–0 vote in favor and the bill was reported to the full committee.
The bill's sponsor framed the change as a benefit for service members. Committee discussion did not record fiscal impacts beyond the sponsor's explanation and the subcommittee moved the bill forward.
