The Commissioners Court approved Special Road Use Permits for Wildfire Energy Operating covering multiple well locations and separately approved Oil and Gas Development Permit #&OEM-O&G-2026-001 for wells Reed EF 2H and Kretzer 1H on County Road 324.
Commissioner David Hildebrand moved and Commissioner Dwayne Faust seconded the permit motions; both motions passed with unanimous aye votes. The road-use permits include an update to an earlier CL Anderson permit and additional permits for locations on County Roads 116, 375 and 324.
Commissioner Dwayne Faust raised a broader operational concern in the Commissioners’ report, noting that oil-related traffic will create issues for county roads and the Road & Bridge precincts. The minutes record no immediate mitigation plan in this session; road maintenance and coordination with operators or TxDOT would be managed through the Road & Bridge office and future agenda items if needed.
