Commissioners approve treasurer reports and adopt FY2027 budget policy and calendar

The court also adopted the FY2027 Budget Policy and Calendar after a motion by Hildebrand and a second from Faust. The calendar sets the schedule and policy framework for preparing the next fiscal year’s budget. The Auditor reported sales tax receipts of $115,640, which the Auditor said represented a 7.36% increase over April 2025 — a figure included in the financial reports the court approved.
The actions move the county into its formal budget preparation timeline for FY2027; the court did not record further amendment language or dollar changes in the meeting minutes. The court authorized payment of bills before adjourning. The next procedural steps will follow the schedule in the adopted calendar.
