Lawmakers urge TWRA and sponsors to prioritize public education before enforcement

Vidal emphasized outreach so the community understands implementation and enforcement timing.
Chairman Powers and TWRA representatives said they plan to work with resorts and other stakeholders to communicate the change and educate riders. Powers noted prior meetings and agency outreach and described the four‑year data window as an opportunity to adjust rates and implementation as necessary.
"It's quite popular that there be a public an announcement period and an education period to get the public aware of this new fee schedule," Vidal said. TWRA added they will engage partners and stakeholders to share information as the program is rolled out.
