Burleson County approves $211,238 in grants for elections, victim services and alert system

Burleson County Commissioners Court on July 27 unanimously approved the County Auditor’s certification of four grant awards and special budgets totaling $211,238.88. The grants include $100,941.87 for FY25 Homeland Security – Enhancing Elections Security (Grant #4978501), $71,134.32 for the FY26 Victim Assistance Coordinator Grant (#4418504), $35,719.17 for the 2025 HAVA Election Security Sub-Grant (TXHAVA-ES2025-026), and $3,443.52 for FY26 Texas VINE/SAVNS (#C-02648).
"Approve County Auditor’s certification of grant funds and Special Budgets for: $100,941.87 for FY25 Homeland Security, $71,134.32 for FY26 Victim Assistance, $35,719.17 for HAVA sub-grant and $3,443.52 for Texas VINE/SAVNS," said Commissioner David Hildebrand as he moved the consent agenda; Commissioner Vincent Svec seconded and the vote was unanimous. The court recorded the approvals as part of the consent agenda and ordered them to be implemented per the attachments supplied to the court.
