Rogue River council approves AI policy, updates invocation policy and passes routine fiscal resolutions

The Rogue River City Council approved a package of policy and administrative resolutions on May 28, including a staff artificial-intelligence policy and a change to the city's invocation policy.
Councilor Mark Minegar moved approval of Resolution 26-1473-R, the new AI policy for city staff; Councilor Grace Howell seconded and the motion passed by recorded vote. Earlier in the meeting Councilor Grace Howell moved approval of Resolution 26-1472-R to amend the city's invocation policy to solicit invocations from churches within the Rogue River School District boundary rather than strictly within the city limits; Councilor Sherrie Moss seconded and the resolution was approved and amended.
The council also approved several routine fiscal and administrative resolutions—26-1475-R (certifying municipal services), 26-1476-R (electing to receive state revenue sharing funds), and 26-1477-R (authorizing funds for financial management). Each motion was moved, seconded and passed with recorded votes from the participating councilors. No extended debate or public hearings were recorded on these items.
