The Rogue River City Council on June 25 approved awarding the Small City Allotment sidewalk construction contract for Pine Street (1st to 2nd), 1st Street (Oak to Broadway) and Oak Street (1st to 2nd) to Timber Mountain Construction for $235,143.00, and authorized the city manager to approve change orders up to $23,000.00. Ryan Nolan, the city administrator, explained project details to the council before the vote.
Councilor Barb Gregory moved the award and Councilor Grace Howell seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The council identified the funding source as a $250,000 Small City Allotment grant, with the approved bid below the grant amount. Councilor Gregory framed the vote as moving the city toward completing ADA improvements on the named blocks.
