Bollweg said the parcel already has parking and restrooms and would primarily require fencing to change use. “A dog park will drive money into the town,” Bollweg said, adding that the site’s current lack of horse‑shoeing use and existing amenities made it a relatively low‑cost option. Diane Oliver, City Recorder, assisted staff in evaluating other sites and design options.
Councilor Barb Gregory moved the agreement; Councilor Grace Howell seconded. There was no discussion and the motion passed unanimously. The council’s approval authorizes staff to proceed under the amended agreement; the record does not specify a construction timeline or final budget for fencing and site work.
