The Richland School District approved changes to Human Resources job descriptions and staffing structure at the Jan. 13 meeting. Superintendent Rosa A. Romero explained the department’s duties were separated into four positions (two new, two revised) to address workload and an upcoming retirement.
As part of the reorganization the board approved a new Director of Human Resources position and a new Human Resources Assistant job description, and revised descriptions for Administrative Assistant‑Human Resources and Human Resources Technician. Romero reported the Administrative Assistant II‑Human Resources position and Level 6 of the Confidential and District Employees salary schedule will be eliminated effective Oct. 1, 2025; the Director will assume the eliminated duties and be placed on the Classified Management salary schedule.
