District enrollment at 2,413; Dashboard metrics show improvement, assistant superintendent says

Superintendent Rosa A. Romero and Assistant Superintendent Annette Blacklock updated the board on enrollment and district performance metrics. Blacklock said 2,413 scholars are enrolled, a decline of about 100 students from the same time last year, and provided embargoed California School Dashboard figures showing improvements in several indicators.
Blacklock cited a drop in chronic absenteeism of 8.6%, a suspension-rate decrease of 2.2%, and increased progress among English learners of 4.12 percentage points. She said the district will present the full dashboard at the December board meeting. The superintendent thanked staff and HR for their support in achieving the results.
