District approves OneSight partnership to provide free vision care to up to 50 students

The Richland School District approved a memorandum of understanding with the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation to provide vision services for up to 50 qualifying scholars at no cost.
Assistant Superintendent Annette Blacklock told trustees the district’s health staff will identify up to 50 scholars who meet a minimum visual acuity threshold (20/40). The event will be held at the Kern County Fairgrounds during March 3–7, where OneSight volunteers will serve more than 800 scholars from Kern County across four days.
