Colfax council certifies 2026 levy after brief public hearing

On a motion by Councilmember Schaefer, seconded by Councilmember Mackleit, the council adopted Resolution 25-19 to certify the levy; the motion passed on a roll-call vote with all present members voting yes. Link framed the change as consistent with practice over the last several years and as part of the city’s annual revenue-setting process.
The certified levy will be used alongside the upcoming budget process to set city revenue expectations for 2026. No public testimony was recorded and the council did not alter the proposal during the hearing.
