Council committees back feasibility review for inclusive playground; pool refunds and pickleball court noted

The Community Services Committee (reported to council June 22) endorsed a feasibility study for an inclusive playground. The committee identified three possible locations — McFarland Park, the area near the library, and Holdner Park — and proposed a joint fundraising approach with Enumclaw specialized recreation, Spurs and Halos, the Enumclaw rotary and Unlimited Play.
Council member reporting on CSC also noted the new pickleball court has hairline cracks that staff judged cosmetic and not affecting playability, and discussed a need for a standardized pool refund policy, including setting a minimum refund amount. The CSC approved moving forward with the inclusive-playground feasibility review.
